PBR Forces Veterans Association, Inc. (PBR FVA) is pleased to announce a scholarship fund in memory of BMC James Elliott Williams has been established.

Mrs. Elaine Williams, wife of Medal of Honor recipient J. Elliott Williams, has given us permission to use "Boats" name for the scholarship fund. The fund will be known as the "J. Elliott Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund".

The Scholarship Fund will continue the legacy of "Boats" Williams and will financially assist children or grand children of PBR FVA members who are seeking an Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree at an accredited College or University.

The Scholarship Fund has been established with private donations and will be self sufficient through donations. PBR FVA membership dues are not used to support this scholarship fund.

The Board of Directors believes that personal and corporate donations will support the scholarship fund through tax deductible donations. Any and all donations of any dollar amount will be graciously accepted.

Donations are tax deductible under IRS Code 501(a)(19) IAW IRS ltr dtd July 23, 1989. A tax exempt receipt will be issued for all donations.

The number and size of the scholarships awarded will be determined by the funds available.
